sql agent job failure

    Hi,

    One of my sql agent job is failing with below mentioned error after executing for 4 hours:

    Lock request time out period exceeded.

    This job is calling one stored procedure. How can I diagnose the table for which its not able to take the locks and getting timed out. Job run at weekly once(at night).

    Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

    Did you check whether or not there were any other jobs running against your server at the same time?

    Thanks for the suggestion. Actually job was successful on 12 out of 15 servers. I chked now and found one job whose schedule is conflicting with the failing job on these three failed job servers.

    I will change its schedule time and I think it will resolve the problem.
