Hi Room,
I have a silly question on SQL 2008 solution explorer.
Where can I find the SQL 2008 solution explorer?
On SQL 2005. The Solution Explorer located under VIEW menu.
Thanks,
Edwin

Could it be that you're using Management Studio Express? On my SSMS 2008 it's just like I told you before.

I am using the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio version 10.0.1600.22.

That's the same version as I have and it works for me.
No idea what's different with your installation.

Thanks. When I clicked on New menu, I also did not see the Project submenu?
Here how I setup my SQL 2008 installations.
1. Create SQL Service Accounts
SQL2008DE ----> Database Engine
SQL2008SQLAgent ----> SQL Server Agent etc.
2. Install the SQL 2008 and follow the setup steps until completed.

Hi Markus,
I figured out the problems. When I installed my SQL 2008, I login my Window 2003 OS with "SQLAdmin" user that did not have sufficient privileges.
Note: The "SQLAdmin" user already assigned an administrator privilege before installing SQL 2008.
So, I login Window 2003 with build in Administrator user then I un-installed and reinstalled.
It works and the solution explorer showed up.
Some Weird in O/S level.
Should the "SQLAdmin" have sufficient with an administrator privilege?

Hi all
I have the same version installed here, but I cannot see the Solution Explorer.
I have tried CTRL + ALT + L or in View menu and nothing.
In my case, I have the client SSMS installed here in my machine, not in the server.
I just tried to upgrade from enterprise evaluation to express with advanced services and it didn't fix my problem.
My version:
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 10.0.1600.22 ((SQL_PreRelease).080709-1414 )
Thanks for help me

Hi Markus Bohse
I talked about the Sql Server Installation Center / Maintenance / Edition Upgrade.
Here I have a way to change SSMS client from one version to another.
