SQL 2008 R2 Install - Set Location of system database files

    During the SQL 2008 R2 install I'm unsure where to I can set the location of the system database (mdf,ldf) files.

    In the Instance Configuration Screen the user has the option to set the Instance Root Directory and in the Database Engine Configuration screen | Data Directories tab the Data Root Directory can be set but not the System Database Directory?

    the data directory is where the system databases will be installed, On that tab you also specify the default USER database directories and backup directory.

    when you enter your location into the box you will be shown the exact path to your system databases (extra directory levels are appended to what you enter)
