SQL 2008 Developer Edition on Windows 7, does it work?

  • Hello,

I am thinking of upgrading my Vista Ultimate with Windows 7, but I wondered if anybody knows if the SQL 2008 developer edition (along with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS) works ok on it, or have there been problems?

    Thank you.

    P.

  • I use all of the above on a Windows 7 Proffesional laptop and it works fine.

Make sure you apply SP1 and set Management Studio to Run as Administrator though.

  • Great, thank you!

    Regards,

    P.

  • I'm currently doing the same. No problem setting it up, running it, etc. Just update before you start the service.
