Hi All
I am doing a new installation of SQL 2008 CTP (Feb) on a virtual machine (Windows 2003 SP2 32 bit), i am stuck on the Configuration screen , even if i give username and password for all the service, it still says that invalid username or password, please advice me how shall i continue on this installation 🙂

You have to use an existing user acct to run the service(s) or add new one(s) via start -> programs -> administrative tools -> computer management. If you choose to use a dedicated acct(s), assign only User privs.-- the 2008 installer will elevate the privs of the acct as needed.
SQL Server best practices suggest running each service under its own acct.

Make sure that account has admin privileges on that VM in order to start/stop the SQL Server services, also ensure to add your login on the next screen that will add up SA privileges on sql server.
