SQL 2008 Certification and upgrade to SQL 2012

  • Team,

I have already got MCTS certification (70-432).

I am planning to prepare for MCITP certificaiton (70-450). However it read on blog that 70-450 is getting retired on July, 2013 .

    Is ithat correct ?

    Kindly let me know.

  • That exam is scheduled to retire on Jan. 31st not July of next year.

So, If i clear 70-450 then i have to appear one exam (70-459) for upgrading to to SQL 2012 MCSE.

  • Good luck! Hope all goes well.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, I don't think that would be your upgrade path to an MCSE.

I believe you will have to upgrade the MCTS to MCSA and then the MCITP to MCSE... although not necessarily in that order.
