SQL 2005 Server setup failing on Windows 2008 Failover cluster

  • Hi.

I am installing an sql 2005 failover cluster on a windows 2008 Two node Active passive cluster.I have confgiured the pre-requisities by adding IIS ,SMTP,CGI,ASP.NET,.NET Fram work 3.0 on both nodes of the cluster.

The sql stup runs fine with the pre-requisities check with some warnings in IIS.tHE SQL SERVER Setup gives an error during the sql database installtion as given below:

Failed to set registry settings for server network libraries. The action is set to default.

The setup fails becoz of the above error.

    Please Advice,

    Regards,

    Ali

  • Make sure you are using a domain account to install the Cluster that has Local Admin on both nodes.
