Sql 2005 Authentication case sensitive?

  Our sql 2005 databases use the default (CI_AS) collation. I created a sql account, entered a password,  but when I logged to Query Editor using that account and password, I found I couldn't get in. A few checks showed that passwords for sql authentication are now case sensiitve.  Am I correct?  (BTW, this was not true for sql 2000).

  Yes, sql login passwords are case sensitive in 2005 ... MS uses the WINDOW security API for sql server for security...
