SQL 2000 Reporting services-multilinguistic reports

  • Hi,

How can we display report text (i.e. labels in a report) in various languages?

Do we need to create a seperate rdl for each language or it can be done by doing some settings in report properties?

I tried adding a resource file(like we use in VB),but am not able to use it in the rdl.

    Please help!

    Regards,

    Preeti

  • Hi,

What we ended up doing is using something like this in each of our label iif( Parameters!ReportLang.Value =1,"Heure Début:","Start Time:") inside of our label...

You could also use the global variable user!language to swith from one language to the other without having to create a language parameter.

Not the greatest solution, but it did the trick for us... Good thing we only had 2 language to manage

By the way, the parameters are not localizable with RS2000.
