There is a server running 2k3 server i recently upgraded to service pack 4. After that I applied the hotfix that is supposed to resolve the awe not able to use over 1/2 the memory issue. The boot.ini has the /3GB /PAE switches but sql server used to use just under 2gb of memory now it uses about 128mb of ram i've allocated in awe from 2gb up to 6gb of ram. Anyone know of any issues. The databases being used are 12gb 8gb and 6gb i would expect sql to be using almost the whole 6gb max amount of ram. Any help is greatly appreciated.

if you use AWE you have to set memory SQL Server to a fixed amount (no dynamic allocation)
second you can't rely on the taskmanager to view its memory usage, use the performance counters of SQL Server in performance monitor.
You did reboot?
