sp_altermessage

    Hi all

    In my replication I have enabled he alert for Replication : agent success however the alert is not firing. Looking in sysmessages I can see the dlevel for the description is set to 0. I am trying to use sp_altermessage to turn this on but I get an error of:

    Cannot drop or alter a message with an ID less than 50,000.

    How can I enable the logging of this event?

    Hi again, I just wondered if anyone knew how to get round this? I have read this maybe a fixed in a SQL 2005 patch but not found which one. Is the best thing to create a custom error then create an alert on this?
