SP3 Won't update SSMS

    My SQL Server Management Studio is on version 9.00.1399.00. I applied SP3 and updated all components. My server is on version 9.0.4035 but SSMS is still not updated. I've tried re-installing SP3 3 times.

    Does anyone know how I can update just SSMS without having to re-install SQL Server?

    I was able to fix this. I re-ran SQL server setup and only modified client / workstation components. Then re-installed SP3 and only selected to update client / workstation components as well.

    I think SSMS was open in another terminal services session when SP3 was applied which caused it not to get updated.
