we have SQL test server and if I work from remote , sometimes I got exception and all works there are slow.
" Connection Timeout Expired. The timeout perioed elapsed while attempting to consume the pre-login handshake acknowledgement. This could be because the pre-login handshake failed or the server was unable to respond back in time. The duration spent while attempting to connect to this server was - [Pre-Login] initialization=9; handshake=14997' (Microsoft SQL Server )
Additional information : The wait operation timed out "
I checked firewall and all is turn off.
I tried ping this server long time a still was without problem 1-2ms, also when I got this exception...
So I also checked Network configuration with TCP/IP and on IP1 I have Ip of this test server. All is Active Yes, but Enabled No...
So it looks like sometimes something lock this? or how is possible that sometimes I can connect, but almost all time is delay and got this exception..
Thanks
