Since I'm not much into ETL and going through learning curve, i had to check out for answer from web and in the meantime was glad to learn about SCD and it's types. Thanks. π

Nice question, a bit easy for BI folks. π
Type 3 SCD is however not supported by the SSIS slowly changing dimension transformation.
I also never encountered this type of SCD in any project.
Need an answer? No, you need a question

As someone who doesn't work with it that much, I had to research the answer. I learned something from the question, so thank you.

Koen:
While the SCD transformation does not natively adhere to level 3, I have used other transformations to accommodate SCD level 3.
Thanks

All:
I wanted to make this more of a definition for learning purposes. I am natively a BI person and I LOVE BI and related "true" statistical analysis (especially since the present and future of business).
Thanks to all.

Very easy and relevant question for me as I do a lot of ETL and DW work.

As I am not a big fan nor a current user of the Data Warehouse or ETL; so I had to do some researches about it to get the correct answer. But @ the end, learnt something new.

Remarkably easy for a 2 point question.
Agreed, maybe it was marked for 2 points because we don't get a lot of DW-specific questions? Had it been an MDX question, I would expect 2 points.
