Side by Side installation, but no SQL Server Management Studio.

    Hello

    I have a server with SQL Server 2000 already installed. I have done a side by side installation of SQL Server 2005. However, I have enterprise manager still working for the 2000 databases, but SQL Server Management Studio hassn't installed for the 2005.

    I have tried uninstalling the workstation components and running sqlrun_tool.msi to re-install but it still doesn't install the Management Studio.

    Can anyone help?

    Please post the error message that you are receving at your end.

    Also check carefully bootstrap log (like C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG), if you are not getting any error message while installing.
