Hi,
I'm not a DBA but I'm in charge of a SQL 2000 database, so it's why I need advices from experts.
I have a 5 gig data file and a 25 gig log file. The database is backed up every day. When I do a Shrink log file, no space is freed and the file still grow. If I restrict the log file grow and limit its size, no more transactions are done in the database and a error is fired saying the log file is full.
The database is in production and in extensive use all day long.
So, what should I do to shrink the log file?
thanks a lot for your help and advices
