Hey all,
I have a slight issue that started last SUnday (25/4) and happens every so often mon-fri and lots on sunday.
Firstly i should say that mon-sat i have a maint plan to backup all user db's and there logs (where recovery is full), the last step then does integrity checks (but only user db's). On sundays we have another job which does the same but finaly rebuilds the indexes and stats.
Since last sunday i have be getting the following once or twice mon-fri but numerous times yesterday (sunday), add to that the plan did not complete but the below occurred once an hour.
Can anyone help please?
DBCC SHRINKDATABASE for database ID 2 is waiting for the snapshot transaction with timestamp 30435881 and other snapshot transactions linked to timestamp

Thanks Bryan, but I am more interested in why i am seeing a shrink db command for tempdb while carrying out backups and checkdb's on user databases. As far as i know temdb should not be being touched for these operations.
Are there any Guru's out there who can help ? 🙂
