SHOWPLAN Enhancement

    I would like to learn "ShowPlan enhancements in Sql 2012". I searched on Google and tired to find some good link. Can anybosy refer some good article or link ?

  • I have not seen a single point with a collection of all the updates. I have updated my book on execution plans. It includes a bunch of new stuff for 2012. It's a free download.

    I don't see any topics specific to SQL 2012 in the book. I could be wrong. Can you tell where you have covered the SHOWPLAN Enhancement for SQL 2012 in the book?

  • There is not a single spot that says "SHOWPLAN Enhancement for 2012". All through the book there are additional pieces of knowledge as they are applicable.

    There are few changes in 2012. You get a few new operators for some of the new T-SQL functionality. There's some additional data in the properties of some operators. There are a few new alerts. That's about it. The vast majority of the topic has not changed.
