Severity 20 - Fatal Error in Current Process

  • I received a SQL server alert: severity 20,

    SQL Server Alert System: 'mycomputername: Severity 20 - Fatal Error in Current Process' occurred on mycomputername

    Description:

    Length specified in network packet payload did not match number of bytes read; the connection has been closed. Please contact the vendor of the client library. [CLIENT: 10.50.10.116]

    What does this mean?

    And I noticed we received this message after we recently upgrade our network monitoring tool Heroix longititude.

    The tool is to monitor servers include windows, SQL server etc.

    How could we prevent this from happening, or is it really critical? It generates the alert sometimes is every 5 minutes, sometimes is every half an hour.
