Hi,
I received a call earlier that one of our applications was slow. I have sp_WhoIsActive running every minute and logging results to a table, so I started to look at what was going on at the time of the slowness.
I noticed several insert statements that were waiting to get an exclusive lock on a specific table. They all had the same blocking session ID. When I looked into that ID, I found that a user had executed a DELETE statement. However, I'm looking at the associated stats for this session and I can't see anything alarming about them. Am I missing something?
tran_log_writes: 18 (47kb)
tempdb_allocations: 0
tempdb_current: 0
reads: 3,456
writes: 89
physical reads: 8
CPU: 314
used_memory: 3
I don't have much else on it, and the inserts (which were blocked b it) are the the the only processes I can see that had any kind of wait_info around the time of the call. Any thoughts on where I can go from here?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
