I see the procedure sp_dboption has many settings for ones database, I also understand that the Tempdb can be set for large data sizes.
I am looking for information on how to set up ones database under "best practise" guidlines, are there any links you have any advice is welcome.
I have searched this site, but not much as come up

Counterquestion: What kind of environment are we talking about? OLTP or OLAP. How many users, transactions, size of db, uptime requirements....
