Service packs for SQL Server 2005

    Do we need to install both the service packs SP 1 and SP2 for SQL Server 2005 ?

    Further I have installed SQL Server 2005 Developers edition with SP@ only ? Do I need to install SP 1 now or just SP 2 is sufficient ? Can we install service packs in any order ?

    After installing SQL Server 2005. You need to apply the latest Service Pack which is SP2. The service packs are cumulative. There is no such order you can directly apply the latest service pack which is SP2.

    You only need to install SP2 as they are cumulative.
