[Sorry, I originally posted the wrong error message. It has since been updated below]
We have a number of SQL Server 2016 servers in our infrastructure, mainly running Enterprise Edition on Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 2016. Recently we upgraded our test servers from Cumulative Update 8 for Service Pack 1 to Service Pack 2. Everything appears to be running smooth (SSIS, SSRS, core T-SQL) except on servers where we are processing cubes.
On these servers, we are getting the following error:
Process SSAS Data Warehouse:Error: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClientUI, Version=184.108.40.206, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
It doesn't seam to matter whether the Process Cube step was launched from a SQL job, or directly from SSIS catalog, or directly from SSAS. They all fail with the same error.
If we uninstall Service Pack 2 the error goes away, and our cube processing jobs begin to run again.
Anyone else seeing this issue with Service Pack 2?
