I got a little problem with a server registration in enterprsie manager and sql 2000for some reason it is unable to connect to the local sql due to authentication problems, and it makes no difference if I use Windows Authentication or SQL Authtentication.
The problem appeared as I was changing password for the account used by the SQL service to start itself, I had already done the same thing on three other servers without problem, but this time I accidently closed enterprise manager without changing the login credentials used to start the sql service, and since then I have been unable to even connect to it using enterprise manager and make it use the correct credentials.
Edit: Something just popped to my mind, would it be possbile to just open up services.msc and change the password from there? I'll try that tomorrow when I get by the servers again.

Yes, just go into the services applet and change it. You can't connect because the service can't start.
