sending mail from sql 2000 to outlook 2003

  Hi

  OS:windows 2000 AS,SQL 2000&outllok

  created a profile on outlook named as sham

  SQL mail mail session test started successfully

  when i go for SQL server agent --properties --SQL agent session has not been started/check profile

  please guide

  • Log in with the SQL server serive account to the box.
  • Make sure you create a outlook profile with this account.
  • Open the SQL agent properties
  • select the outlook profle name in Mail profile name text box.
  • If the Mail profile name text box is disabled then type the serivce account password again in the Services startup account in the SQL agent. Once you type the password the Mail profile text box will be enabled.
  • Select the right profile.
  • If this does not work stop and start the SQL agent and set the mail profile properties.
  • IF this also does not work restart the SQL Server services and reset the Mail profile.
