Sending Emails using SQL Server 2000

    i am not able to use sp xp_sendmail for sending emails.

    what all settings are requried for sending emails through sql server 2000..

    how do we create a new mapi profile, sql settings etc, plz somebody suggest a solution..

    Well, the first thing that you have to do is to install Outlook (not Exchange, and not Outlook Express) on the machine that is your SQL Server. If this is a Server, it will be difficult (turns out that Outlook doesn't like to be installed on a server).
