Sending e-mails with attached files (excel,pdf, etc)

    Hi !

    Can somebody help me in a frustrating problem : when I try to send an e-mail from reporting server manager , i can send this only as a web archive - not as an excel or pdf attachement.

    When i try to send e-mail in excel render format, i get the status "Failure sending mail : the transport lost its connection to the server" . I can send e-mail only as Web archive in the body of the message.

    Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

    I found the solution myself and the answer is...

    Get SP2 for Reporting Services... just install that and excel attachement arrived.

    I also have this problem and it is solved on my test server which has sp2 so the answer is to apply sp2.
