Search in a Binary column

    Hi

    I am loading files in the DB (file type - ms word, pdf, text etc)

    I wanted to know if it is possible to search the documents in the column.

    With SQL2K you can, take a look at full text index - think you have to have a column that includes the document extension for it to search anything besides plain text.
