Saving a view in SqlServer Express 2005

  I have installed Express 2005 and attached a d/b I used in SQL Server 2000. When I try to modify a view in a d/b on my local server, when I go to save it, it tries to save the view as an external .sql file and refuses to simply update the original view.

  Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

  Have you upgraded the SQL 2K database to SQL 2K5?  I think you may need to do that prior to being able to use it...  (I think I read something here on upgrading from 2K > 2K5)

  I didn't upgrade. Until now everything seemed to work perfectly so I wasn't aware of any need to upgrade. I'll go search at MS. Thanks for the idea
