Your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on my part...unless you're my manager...or a director and above...or a really loud-spoken end-user..All right - what was my emergency again?
I like that line. Do the right thing, don't bend. Screw them if you have to.
LUN is a facade, just like old time a drive is divided into partitions. The total provided IO capacity is still based on underline RAID array. LUN or partition provides no overall IO performance improvement.
