When I try to run a query from Query Analyser into a file in SQL 2000 the saved file has columns separated by spaces. So far it was working fine. However the last file we had to send to a client should contain 279 columns. The client uses SPSS. Trying to open the file we sent them causes the problem of overlapping the columns. They asked us to separate the columns by tabs.
Does anyone know how can I save a file from QA separating columns by tabs?
Thank you.

Click Tools, Options, then the results tab. Use the 'Results Output Format' dropdown. The default is column aligned, but you can change to tab delimited.
