Run SQL Server Agent Job from Desktop Shortcut

    I am trying to find a way to run a SQL Server Job from an icon or file that I can place on my local desktop. I have no idea where to even begin.

    SQL Server Jobs run from SQL Server Agent. It starts jobs on a schedule or with a call to sp_start_job. If you set up an icon on your local machine, with a batch file that calls SQLCMD and then connects to the database server and executes sp_start_job for the job you want, it should work.
