    Hi all,

    I have a question regarding setting up user's subscription to my report.  When I typed the domain name/username at the textbox on New Role Assignment page, this is the message I got : 'The user or group name 'dmxxx/abc' is not recognized. (rsUnknownUserName)'.  I added myself with no problem (same domain name).  I am sure the username is correct.

    What I can only think of is the user is at another site, could this be the reason?

    Try only the username without the domain name

    Thank you very much for the reply.

    The problem is sloved, not by me though.   One member of our team did that, I will find out later if adding the user to a existing group is how he solved the problem.

    Hi!

    I am having the same issue when trying to add a group to SSRS 2008 R2. We are migrating to SSRS 2008 R2- the very same group is present in the production SSRS 2005 instance.

    Help is much appreciated!

    I am also having this issue with 2008 SP1. I can add users but not groups.

    Hi ...

    You should add/create an user account and

    then add that into the groups then it will

    come... then u can assign the role to that user ..

    Please let me know if u solved the problem ...
