Hi All, can we have any example for role playing dimension other than time, and why we need more cubes for one project, on which basis we create multiple cubes for a project..

A multi cube project is the preffered choice to support different line of businesses within a job function

The most used example of a role playing dimension is the time dimension.
Say you have a fact dimension with the following attributes:
* orderdate
* due date
* delivery date
You don't want to implement 3 time dimensions, so you link those 3 attributes to the regular time dimension with foreign keys.
In SSAS, you make one time dimension, but in the cube designer, you add it 3 times, one for each date attribute. Make sure you set the correct mapping in the dimension usage tab.
