restoring without a secondary transaction log

  • Hi all, never have come across this before in all the restores I have ever done, so I need some help.

I am using SQL personal edition on my local machine to write reports remotely. I have the client send me backups, which I then restore to the 'working' database here, and then run the report against their data. Never had a problem until now.

This one backup has a secondary transaction log attached to it, and when trying to restore, get an error of course

I cannot seem to find anything on line as to how I might overcome this. Is it possible to use this backup file somehow, can I create something on the SQL server to act as the secondary transaction log and restore into it?

    I appreciate any advice.

  • Never mind. I got it figured out. Needed to move to a different drive and all is well
