  i try to restore a full database but it's return an error 3241 which is 'The media family on device '%ls' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family'

  Any idea about it?

  Do you get any joy from a RESTORE HEADERONLY or from a RESTORE VERIFYONLY?
