Reporting Services 2005 Error Creating Report Server Virtual Directory

    Hi all,

    I get the following error when creating a new report server virtual directory on our server.  It gets half way through what it should do then gives me the below error after 'changing secure connection level'.  The report manager virtual directory is always greyed out with a tick so I can never actually create those virtual directories either.  Any ideas?

    Particularly the comment

    'Now, for the part that my boss did not believe four months ago. Remove the line above the ReportServerUrl entry for the ReportServerVirtualDirectory. These two lines are "mutually exclusive" according to a document on MSDN today. You will just have to imagine how painful it was to find this fact out before Microsoft told us."

    I do not have the MS link referenced; but it's common knowledge now.
