I am upgrading a SQL server A from 2008 R2 to 2012.
It is a data source for a reporting server.
The Reporting server is a separate server B that uses Server A as data source. But it has also its local db engine installed for reportdb. It has version SQL server 2008 R2
My question is if I upgrade Server A, but leaving server B as 2008R2, will the reports still work?
Thanks

The reports should continue to work. You will need to test the reports as with any upgrade though.

+1. It should not matter where the data comes from, as long as the OLE DB provider supports it.
Need an answer? No, you need a question
