Report Manager in Windows 7 asks for a username and password

  • I have just installed SSRS2008 and SQL2008 Developer on my Windows 7 laptop (Home Premium). But every time I launch the report manager I get asked for a username and password. I haven't had this issue with Windows XP.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this? I have tried the fix with the BackConnectionHostNames in Microsofts support number 896861 but this hasn't worked.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

  • This is probably just your browser trying to protect content on your local computer. Try adding the Report Manager URL to the Local Intranet sites list using the Internet Options Secutity tab in Internet Explorer under Tools > Internet Options.
