I have a report that is generating a "long running script error" after 30secs when attempting to view the report in Report Manager (ssrs 2012) using Internet Explorer 11. The report time out is set to not have a limit.
If I view the report using FireFox or Chrome, the report is completed successfully within approximately 30-40 seconds. If I use an add-in for Chrome (called IE Tab, to simulate IE rendering), I'll generate the same long running script error just as if I were running the report in IE.
It appears that the error occurs at a point when the rendering is actually supposed to occur. The "Loading" swirl alert with the spinner will just freeze; IE becomes unresponsive.
We have other reports that take a few minutes to run, but do not throw the "long running script error", so why would one report suffer within the initial 30+ seconds?
Any ideas on a solution?
Thanks,
Pete

Hi peterzeke,
If it's similar to what I had, I tried this solution yesterday and it worked like a charm.
There are compatibility issues with IE11 (and Chrome and so on!)
Hope this helps.

Did the solution SSC-Enthusiastic linked to work for you? I'm having the same problem that you described and making those changes failed to solve the issue. I did find that if I first enable "developer tools" and then run the report, that I am able to generate the report, without any error message. I'm hoping you were able to solve the problem and might point me in the right direction. Thx!
