replication in a sql cluster environment

  • Has anyone implemented replication in a clustered sql server 7.0/2000 environment?

What are some thoughts/issues on it? Can it be done successfully?

    Thanx.

    Bob.

  • Yes. 7 and 2000(Actually it 7 the later upgraded to 2000).

It can be done sucessfully with out a hitch.

What kind of replication model do u have in mind. Are you going to use Snapshot,Megre or Transactional, How many subscribers are there.Any anonymous? pull or push? are subscribers are going to publish the same data again?Give me the specs I will reply in detail 🙂

  • Aleem,

    Thank you for the reply.

Thinking of doing a snapshot replication, no anonymous subscribers.

Probably pull subscriptions, two of them.

And yes, publishing the same data over and over again (a list of tables, which may increase and decrease over time). Basically just replacing the data on a daily basis.

Let me know what you think.

    Thank you.
