Replace SQL 2014 fail over Cluster with VMWare 6 fault tolerance?

    No experience in VMware fault tolerance, Is it possible to replace SQL fail over cluster by VMware fault tolerance for ~ 400 concurrent users?

    Any guidance or point to the link will be really appreciated.

    Implement it and stopped it.
    It can not be use with iSCSI, need to be fiber channel due to speed as consultant recommendation after on iSCSI not success.
    We do not have fiber channel for storage so we can not test.
    Clients have the performance issue.
