(1) I am using forms authentication for RS.
(2) I created a report that takes a contractnumber as parameter and generates a report.
(3) i am trying to use the RS webservice and render the report as an html page and save it to disk. I need to write a windows service that calls the report passing in the contractnum ( i have about 2-3000 contractnumber's to process) and save each of the html pages to a folder.
its not very complex, but i am trying to get the whole thing done for 1 report. then i can loop through a recordset and call the reportserver for each contractnum.
so i created a windows app. followed the sample code at MSDN. I am hardcoding ther parameter to make things easier.
i keep getting this error :
An unhandled exception of type 'System.Net.WebException' occurred in system.web.services.dll

i remember i used be transferred to a blank page with a "object moved to here" link when i first installed RS on my machine. and when i clicked on the link i would be transferred to the pages/folder.aspx page. so i can deduce that its the same thing happening now.
i have been working on this almost all day today and havent found a solution. i hope somehere at the MS can figure out and help me out.
i appreciate any help.
