Hi,
Using SQL2K SP2.
When I rename an existing Windows group, must I reboot SQL Server in order for that account to be "visible" to SQL Server? I have only been able to find 2 threads on Google, which suggest that this is indeed a requirement....which is NOT good!!!
TIA,
P

It is Windows requirement.

if that group already has access to your sqlserver, sqlserver will have stored the "old" windows-group-name in the system-tables. This will not be refreshed by default.
