When SQL Server 7 was installed, the original tempdb was on the C: drive. Later, someone defined another tempdb file on the D: drive (a faster drive). The one on C: is primary (I suppose that is what the key symbol means in Enterpise Manager / Right Click Database / Properties).
How do I delete the C: one and make the D: one primary? I see a KB article on moving tempdb, but don't know how to safely delete one of the files.
Thanks
Jay

Once you move it and restart successfully, you can just remove the old temp.mdf.
