I was given a new Server to be used for SQL Server 2008 R2.
I was not expecting them to install SQL Server but they did.
I could not eve log on so I removed SQL Server 2008 R2.
The problem is that the Client, Books Online, Sync, etc is still installed and if I attempt to install QSL Server it problems me to install a new instance.
How can I get rid of the other components correctly so I can start fresh?

Why didn't you just put it single user mode and add the appropriate account into sysadmins?

Thanks, I could have done that.
I really wanted to install myself for the person was not a DBA and I wanted a fresh install.
