  I have two instancies of sql server 2005 instaled in windows xp sp2, both allow remote connections, and have de name pipes and tcp ip protocols.

  They were instaled buit-in "local system".

  But i can´t connect from one to other.

  Also have a instance running in windows 2000 and have no problem to connect to that one?

  Can anyone try to help me please? Any suggestion?

  How are you trying to "connect" between the systems?

  I got some messages erros during que creation of an odbc using the native client.

  And using managent studio i can´t connect too.

   

  I don´t know if this answers your questions but i am new in this things.
