"Hyphen" is not accepted when executing it with C#.Net application. Can anyone help me in this?

I noticed that you put a second message of "Please answer" for this message. Since you are fairly new to SSC, keep in mind that this is not a paid support site. You must exercise patience when it takes more than a day to get a response.
Also, you question was sketchy at best. You obviously came to a conclusion about hyphens in Sp_add_jobStep after some frustrations in trying to get it work. You just gave us your conclusion without any of the ground work. Give us an example of the command you tried and the results you got. You said you experienced it in a C#.net application. Did you try it from Query Analyzer to see if you got the same results?
Remember, patience and clarity will go a long way toward getting the answers you need.
