Hi Folks
Well I have been trying to install SQL Server 2008 since end of March. It is now Middle of May. Looks like bad media at first, so I think that is resolved, but not sure as I am getting a warning about "Microsoft .NET Application Security"
"The computer cannot access the Internet. There might be delays in starting a .NET application like Management Studio.
If navigate to http://crl.microsoft.com/pki/crl/products/MicrosoftRootAuthority.crl and are prompted to download
the MicrosoftRootAuthority.crl file you should not have .NET security validation issues"
Does anyone know just what the heck this is about and do I care about it ?
I would prefer to have a clean install
I am installing on a Windows 2008 64-bit server
I can find nothing anywhere on a solution. All I see is unanswered questions regarding this issue.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Also I downloaded the file mentioned, but then where the heck do i put it ?
Thanks
Very Distressed

Does this computer have multiple NIC's? Could there be an issue wit how it is trying to get out to the WWW or NIC binding orders?
Are you setting up a cluster server? Does it work if you try and install it onto another machine with a single NIC?
Or something to do with Data Access Application Block?
