Anyone know of a batch file to reboot the SQL server automatically? Is there services that need to be stopped before I use shutdown.exe?
Is there a shutdown procedure to bring the server down gracefully? I am new to this product.

Services will shutdown for an orderly shutdown.
If this is just for SQL, and you do not need to reboot the server (sometimes you do and sometimes not), you can make a batch file to do net stop/net start.
